Fr. Dominic Assim

Fr. Dominic attended St. Paul’s major seminary in Accra, Ghana from 1997 to 2000 for philosophical studies. After graduation, he proceeded to St. Peter’s regional seminary in Cape Coast, Ghana from 2000 to 2004 where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in theology and a Post-graduate Diploma in education at the University of Cape Coast.

Ordained a priest in August 7, 2004, Fr. Dominic served for two glorious years as a parochial vicar (associate pastor) at St. Gabriel’s Co-Cathedral Parish at Konongo in the Diocese of Konongo-Mampong in Ghana. In 2006, he began his tenure as the pastor of St. Andrew’s Parish at Juaso in Ghana, a parish that comprised seventeen (17) mission churches. He served this parish for six glorious years as a pastor.

From September, 2012 to May, 2015, Fr. Dominic pursued a graduate degree in Counseling Psychology and graduated with a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of St. Thomas at St. Paul in Minnesota. During this period, he also did voluntary pastoral work at Our Lady of Grace Parish in Edina, Minnesota.
